As the Chair of the local Labour Party, the party has had to endure being a guinea pig whilst I have honed my live streaming skills but has also gained massively from being able to hold hybrid public meetings on a number of topics & monthly members’ meetings.
The images on this page come from a meeting about the problems of rural housing which was held on a particularly stormy October evening. There was an in-room panel of three speakers, plus a chairperson, and on online speaker who came in via Zoom. An in-room audience as well as online audience were able to see each other and ask questions of all of the panelists.

The online panelist was in another part of the country but was still able to take part and in the online audience were a number of disabled participants and a number who had decided against travelling because of the stormy conditions.
This was a perfect illustration of the massive advantage of holding hybrid meetings that are able to involve everyone, regardless of whether they are in the room or not.
